The challenge
In healthcare, it is (unfortunately still) common practice for healthcare providers to maintain electronic patient records (EPRs) to which clients or patients do not have access as standard, or from which they can only request an extract. As a result, important information remains hidden from the client, and opportunities are missed to involve the client optimally in his or her treatment.
The challenge presented to us by the three healthcare institutions was to remedy this imbalance by developing a visually appealing platform that puts the client at the center and allows them to work (interactively) with their network and the healthcare provider on treatment goals and actions, with the platform facilitating support from the network and healthcare providers.

The result
The collaboration, which brought together healthcare content, design, and technology, resulted in the development of an innovative SaaS eHealth platform that now serves more than 60,000 users in over 60 healthcare institutions in youth care and disability care.
Clients take control of their own treatment or care process, collaborate with their network and care providers, and find educational and care-related tools and modules in a richly stocked library.
The platform was developed from the perspective of, and in collaboration with, the end user. From day one, the solution met the highest information security requirements. This was, of course, absolutely necessary due to the highly sensitive (personal) data processed in the platform. In addition, smart integrations have been realized via APIs with EPD and ECD systems within the IT landscape of healthcare institutions.
The platform means greater transparency and client involvement, shorter treatment times, and efficiency gains of more than 30% for healthcare institutions.
